Green Andalusite Branch Band in Gold

Forest green with flashes of red and brown, andalusite is a gem featuring a natural phenomenon known as dichroism. These unique gems have polarized coloring, showing a slightly different color play from every angle.

This particular specimen is set east-west in four sturdy prongs. The setting is a hand carved tree branch, just under 2mm wide, crafted in 14k yellow gold. Accenting the stone are two small lab created diamonds tucked into the wood knots. The andalusite measures 5 x 3.5mm, diamonds weigh a total of 0.015ct.
