Huron Horizon Chrysocolla and Chalcedony Necklace

Chrysocolla is one of our lead designer's favorite gems to work with. Vivid cerulean blue, dappled with green, black, and turquoise, the stone is as unique as its origins. The vivid colors are formed by copper oxide, so the stones are always found adjacent to copper deposits.

This beautiful specimen was cut into a large half moon cabochon. Measuring 20 x 30mm, it is set into a sturdy silver bezel etched with rushes all around. Above it, like a Michigan sky, is a light blue chalcedony. The chalcedony measures 14 x 7mm and is rectangular step cut. Set into a polished bezel, it connects the chrysocolla with the gleaming silver articulated bail.

Last but not least- a silky satiny oval herringbone chain completes this collector's piece. You have to feel this chain to believe it, the perfect combination of fluidity and strength.
