Pietersite is an entrancing stone- shimmery and chatoyant like tiger eye, but formed of strong chalcedony. The rich blue-gray mineral is often ribboned with brown, orange, or yellow, and no two are alike. It is currently only found in Namibia, and we haven't seen a specimen as lovely as this one in a while.
Measuring 38 x 26mm, it shows a shifting, glimmering landscape of blue and cinnamon brown, with swirls of gray blue peeking out here and there. We've mounted it in a simplistic claw prong pendant, and accented it with a single cinnamon zircon to show off the rich brown striations. The zircon is a unique cut, an elongated oval measuring 10 x 5mm and weighing 2.3 carats. There's a simple 14k white gold hinge between the gems, allowing for freedom of movement while you're wearing the necklace.
A sleek silver omega chain completes the piece, just over 4mm wide and measuring 16" (please let us know if you need a different length when ordering) Pendant's finished width roughly 1.5" in height and width. Handcrafted in sterling silver and white gold and completely one of a kind.
