Castle in the Sky Rough Aquamarine Ring

Rough, unpolished aquamarine meets sparkling, faceted sapphire in this unique ring. The 6.4 carat aquamarine is a tall and angular stone, so we leaned into that and set it up high on a rough-hewn platform. An open band tapers down from this to wrap around the finger, then appears as a solid band on the other where it holds a teal oval sapphire. Sapphire shape naturally nestles into the indent of the aquamarine, but the space between is open to show your finger. Four sturdy prongs hold in each stone. Measurements: aqua is 14 x 9mm and sapphire is 5 x 4mm. Total ring width appx 5/8 inch on top, narrowing to 1/4" on bottom. 

A row of beadwork accents each side of the ring, and the entire surface is textured, hammered, and hewn. Crafted in sterling silver, one of a kind piece exclusive to Wexford Jewelers. Design and sculpt by Sarah J Christenson 2023
